Our Funny Little Snow Man

Our funny little snow man!! You cannot pack the snow here in Utah, it is so dry and powdery that you have to make a large mound of snow and shape it into a snow man. We had a lot of fun making him!! Isn't he cute?

Oops, forgot Kylies birthday Jan 16th

Kylie used her birthday money to buy a bunny from Build-A-Bear. She was so excited!
Kylie got a projector art machine to draw princess pictures.

Happy Birthday Kylie. Wow, 6 years old!!!! We love you so much!

Kylie had a fun birthday party with all her friends. She had a cupcake party where we first colored pictures of cupcakes (what we would like to eat), then we actually got to frost and decorate our own cupcakes. Then we played pin the tail on the donkey and had a Hannah Montana pinata. Lisa and Adam, Kylies aunt and uncle, came up from Provo to help celebrate. It was a good day!

Newport Beach Pictures

These are of us at Newport Beach. Aaron taught the girls how to dig for sand crabs, we made a sand castle (small), and ran away from the waves. The girls actually got in the water (it was cold but wait long enough and you get used to it). It was a beautiful 85 degree day. Aaaaaahhh! (thats a sigh!)

Disneyland Trip - Feb. 2009

We left Sunday morning at 7 am, Feb. 2nd, and drove all day to Anaheim. Once we got there we checked in and walked around the Gardenwalk outdoor mall and got some dinner. Then the hot tub and off to bed early since it will be a lot of walking at Disneyland. Monday we got up and took the shuttle to Disneyland. It was a great day, 81 degrees and sunny, "BEAUTIFUL". Anaheim, with all the Palm Trees made me miss San Jose. I miss Palm Trees!!!

Monday and Tuesday we were at Disneyland and California Adventure. The lines weren't too long, and the park was fabulous. We got to do the Matterhorn (which Tessa didn't love), saw Pocahontas, Mulan, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Snow White (which she did love), the Carousel, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Pirates of the Carribean (which is always one of my favorites), Nemo Submarine ride, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Soarin' over CA, and much, much more .... Everything that we wanted to do except "Its a Small World" which opened back up on Friday (the day we drove back), and Haunted Mansion. Aaron and I were bummed because my favorite was Haunted Mansion and his was Small World. Oh well, I guess thats what you get during off peak season, its worth it since the lines weren't that long at all. Kylie LOVED Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, and all the rides that were fast and scary. We were shocked that she loved them. She went on everything twice, once with Aaron and then with me. Tessa loved the Toy Story shooting ride and the Bug's Movie Caterpillar ride "Chew, Chew Train" in CA Adventure.

Wednesday was the most beautiful day of all, we went to Newport Beach and played in the water and sand. The girls ABSOLUTELY loved it, just as much as Disneyland. It was 85 degrees that day and gorgeous. The warmest in all the USA, more than Florida!!!! We picked the best time to go. However, Thursday was supposed to rain, and we thought we were okay but it started raining/pouring around 1pm and all the rest of the day. We were at Disneyland and Ca Adventure again and had to pay $30 for rain ponchos, and $22 for 2 strollers (since we didn't bring our own). But it was well worth the money, it kept the whining in control. In fact the girls were great, hardly complained at all. Thursday was fabulous even if it rained, we got on every ride right away, and accomplished a TON. We didn't stay for the "Fantasmic" show, but the girls were cold and tired and we all had filled our fun tanks to the MAX. Friday we drove back home, and the depression started to set in around Cedar City (when we saw snow.)

The Trip was fantastic, better than I had expected and much needed. Only, its always hard to come home, especially since its been snowing here for two days straight. Yuck!!!!!!! I am ready for summer already! I hope we can go back someday soon. After we recooperate from the financial BLOW! Wow, its alot of money, but worth every penny!

Christmas 2008

Wow, Christmas again! I can't believe it has come and gone so fast. Its always a wonderful time, but goes so quickly. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Aarons Mom's death. She died Christmas morning. A few years ago, I made a special Christmas ornament for Aaron and his sisters, it has her picture on it so when we see it on the tree its like she is still there with us at Christmas. She was an amazing person and if I can be half as great as she was I will feel like I have accomplished something. We miss her a lot, but I am grateful that I got the chance to meet her before she died.
Christmas this year was like every other Christmas, except our girls are getting older and its getting harder to "hide" presents and keep the magic of Christmas alive. My Mom was awesome at keeping the Christmas magic alive with 5 girls and a 9 year span between us all. I hope that I can do that too. It is tough, and my girls are only 4 and 6. Whew, its only going to get harder! Anyway, we still had a great time and got lots of presents. Kylies favorite present was her easel/chalkboard, she wants to grow up to be an artist. Tessa loved all the Polly Pockets she got and her "pink sparkle" shoes from her aunt. Aaron got a GPS system for when he travels and I got new dishes for the kitchen. Finally after 11 years I have new dishes. It was fun, but glad the stress of it is over.

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving this year was celebrated in Blackfoot, Idaho with our good friends Steven and Tana Morton. They are our good friends from college, from just after we got married. They moved up to Blackfoot this past summer and wanted to have Thanksgiving at their house this time. We had a fun time watching movies, playing games, and sitting in their hot tub. Steven is a Basketball coach for the High School Varsity Girls Team and had access to the gym, so one night we went and shot hoops and let the kids run around. It was a nice trip.

Tessa's 4th Birthday!

On November 13th, Tessa turned 4. It seems like not too long ago, I was pregnant with her. Wow, times does fly. She had a wonderful birthday party with her friends. She however did not want any boys, so we only invited her girl friends and had a Princess Tea Party. Everyone came dressed up in their princess clothes, and we had cake, lemonade, and candies. We played pin the tail on the pony and a fun cake-walk type game to get their treat bags. Tessa had a great time and it seemed like everyone else did too.

Halloween 2008

Halloween is always a fun time. We had our annual Halloween party, and it was great. Almost everyone dressed up and dressed up good. Aaron and I were Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat, we also had Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Publishers Clearing House winners, Kiss band members, 80's outfitters, The Bounty Hunter and Beth, and more.

Kylie and Tessa dressed up too, Tessa was a princess and Kylie was a witch. This is the first year that Kylie chose something other than a princess. Halloween is always my favorite time of year. I am looking forward to next years party. Keep your ideas flowing!!!
